Every year lung cancer kills more people than colon cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer COMBINED.

Despite this, lung cancer receives less funding than breast cancer and prostate cancer, and is the least funded cancer per death. There is a stigma associated with lung cancer, but it's important to note that 20% of all lung cancer deaths are of non-smokers. In fact, if lung cancer in non-smokers had its own separate category, it would rank among the top 10 fatal cancers in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society.
